Photo Privacy Protection Feature Usage Agreement
This Agreement applies only to the "Photo Privacy Protection" feature in Album and Photo Privacy settings.
1.Feature Overview
Once enabled, the system processes faces in photos uploaded to the album and applies access controls according to your selected protection scope. Visitors may use their device's camera or upload a reference photo to verify identity and access protected photos where supported.2.Purpose and Scope
This feature is solely intended to enhance photo privacy protection and reduce unauthorized access to protected album photos.3.Protected Photos
You may select one of the following protection scopes:• Face Photos Only: Protects only photos in which the system detects a face. Photos without a detected face are not protected by this setting.
• All Photos: Protects every photo in the album, whether or not a face is detected.
The default scope is Face Photos Only. Because face detection may be affected by photo quality, lighting, angle, or occlusion, some face photos may not be detected and may remain unprotected under Face Photos Only. Changing the protection scope does not restart or extend the Face Recognition Service period.
4.Face Recognition Service and Validity Period
Enabling this feature uses—and, if not already active, activates—the Face Recognition Service used to process facial feature data. The service status is shared and synchronized across other facial-recognition-based album features. Each feature remains separately controlled and subject to its own agreement; agreeing to this Agreement does not constitute agreement to any other feature. For users with an active membership ("Members"), the Face Recognition Service remains active for 30 days; for Non-members, it remains active for 7 days. If the album already contains photos, the period starts when the service is activated or reactivated. If the album is empty, the period starts when the first photo is uploaded. Enabling another feature while the service is active does not restart or extend the current period.
When the period expires, related facial feature data is automatically deleted in accordance with the Piufoto Privacy Policy, and the shared service status will appear as expired in all features that use it. You may reactivate the service. After activation or reactivation, the system may need time to process album photos before recognition results and protection based on face detection are fully available.
5.Authorization Responsibility
Before enabling this feature, you must provide all notices and obtain the explicit, informed authorization required by applicable law from individuals in the photos for processing their facial data and applying the selected privacy protection settings, including written consent where required. Event notices through announcements, posters, screen prompts, or other appropriate means are recommended as an additional transparency measure.6.Privacy and Data Protection
Facial feature data is used only for the stated photo protection and identity-verification purposes and will not be used for unrelated purposes or disclosed to third parties except as described in the Piufoto Privacy Policy or as required by law. Data will be securely stored and automatically deleted according to the Face Recognition Service period described above. For details, please refer to the Piufoto Privacy Policy.7.Email Collection and Use
If a visitor chooses to provide an email address while accessing photos, we will use it only to send the related photos or videos to that address after identity verification where required. Providing an email address does not constitute account registration. The email address will not be linked to other personal account data or used for other purposes.8.Important Notice and Recognition Accuracy
This feature uses artificial intelligence and may be affected by photo quality, lighting, angle, occlusion, or other factors. Piufoto does not guarantee absolute accuracy. Recognition or detection errors may result in protection omissions, incorrect protection, or incorrect display. You should review the selected protection scope and album results before relying on this feature. If you have not obtained the necessary authorization from the individuals involved, do not enable or use this feature.9.User Control and Responsibility
You may enable or disable Photo Privacy Protection at any time in the album settings. Disabling this feature does not necessarily end or reset an active shared Face Recognition Service period if another separately enabled feature continues to use the service. You are responsible for your selected protection scope and your use of this feature. Piufoto is not liable, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for consequences arising from recognition errors, protection omissions, or unauthorized use.
